My name is Henry Rivera. I am a Graphic Designer based in Oxnard, CA. I have a BFA in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts. I am currently employed with the San Francisco Latinx art and culture gallery, GalerÃa de la Raza, as the Visual Communications Designer. Through this position I have a range of responsibilities including: designing digital social media posts, creating digital branding toolkits, strategizing marketing plans, creating printed materials such as shirts, banners, flags, books, and posters and even taking charge in hosting digital livestreams.
In my career I have created work that ranges from brand identity, poster design, book design, exhibition curation and design, and printmaking! My work tends to find a bridge between different processes including combining digital mediums like web design with more analog processes like screen printing. I incorporate QUEER into my work, both in the sense of identity and the idea of the strange or weird, incorporating surrealism and diving into paranormal concepts.
